With Andrei Păcuraru, you will learn and practice how to use your camera the way you need to, you will understand and practice composition, you will discuss moments, photographs, and photographers who changed the course of photography, and you will better understand how to create the photograph you have in mind.
What you will learn / do:
how a camera is built and how it works;
how to use the camera in manual mode;
what exposure is and how to achieve it;
how to play with photographic effects;
what composition is—from general principles and simple rules to more complex notions and image balance (practice includes street and portrait photography in natural light);
composition, photographic effects, and projects—case studies;
the photographic project.
What you will not learn / do:
how to use studio equipment – if you are interested in studio photography and technique, take a look at the Light in Photography course;
photo processing – if you are interested in basic processing principles and practicing in Lightroom, take a look at the Photography Post-Processing course.
You will need:
a digital camera with manual control and at least a 50mm lens or equivalent zoom;
a bit of time and more motivation between lessons to read/listen to/watch the resources provided by Andrei, to complete assignments, and to start a photographic project.
