Light in the studio

Ionuț Staicu will teach you to work with studio light. The course consists of a theory session, 2 practices coordinated by Ionuț (in which you learn by doing) and about 6 hours of individual practice in the studio of the CdRF school.

What you will learn:

- what are the types of light used in the studio;

- about the correlation between light and volumetrics;

- about portrait lighting schemes;

- about lighting schemes for objects.

What you won't learn:

- how to use your camera - if you are interested in learning to take pictures, look at the Photographic Technique course.

- developed type procedures - if you are interested in developing, look at the History of Photography course.

You will need:

- a digital camera that you know how to use for the practice in which you make portraits starting from the concepts learned in the course.

- tripod (we also have a few, by the way; we hope they fit your device)

About the lecturer:

Ionuț Staicu has been photographing since 1999. He does fashion and product photography. He is passionate about photo sessions with actors.

Course schedule:

The studio light course is part of the School of Photography #3, so you will study alongside our students from the school. Don't worry, the course can be taken smoothly and on its own as a perfect introduction to the studio. Enrolling in this course does not give you access to the other courses and workshops within the school.
