Sorin Florea and Ionuț Staicu will teach you how to work with light, whether we are talking about natural light, studio light, or low light at night. The entire course, except for one practical session, will take place in the studio, and exposure will become your friend.
What you will learn:
the types of light;
the relationship between light and volume;
types of night photography;
studio lighting;
lighting setups for portraiture;
portrait and/or product photography (depending on your preferences) in natural light and in the studio.
What you will not learn:
how to use your camera – if you want to learn how to photograph, take a look at the Photography Technique course;
development-type processes.
You will need:
a digital camera that you know how to use reasonably well, for the practical session where you will create portraits based on the notions learned in the course;
a tripod (we also have a few, if needed; we hope they’ll fit your camera).
About the lecturers:
Sorin Florea has been photographing for over 20 years. He earns his living from commercial photography but is passionate about “stories that need to be told,” with a focus on geographical, cultural, and anthropological exploration.
Ionuț Staicu has been photographing since 1999. He works in fashion and product photography and is passionate about photo sessions with actors.
The fee can be paid in full or in equal monthly installments. To secure your place in the course, payment of the first installment in advance, online, is required. The remaining payments will be made by invoice on the 1st of each month.
