How to present a portfolio?
Self-presentation and stress handling techniques for artists. with Wiktoria Michałkiewicz
During this workshop, participants will learn how to prepare themselves to meet with professionals during 1:1 portfolio reviews. The focus will be on self-presentation, storytelling, and editing the portfolio as well as defining objectives and goals of the reviews to achieve best results. The participants will learn the auto-presentation techniques and stress management techniques, such as relaxation, and cognitive reframing, to help reduce anxiety during the portfolio review sessions and other situations, when presentation of work is required. Workshop details Open to anyone who wants to improve their self-presentation skills for their artistic practice. Maximum 15 participants. About the lecturer Wiktoria Michałkiewicz, PhD is interdisciplinary expert and an arts and culture strategist specializing in talent development, global partnerships, and visual arts. She holds five degrees, including a PhD in Sociology, and has contributed to National Geographic, Harper’s Bazaar, and Vogue. She has worked as a producer, agent, and curator with leading photographers such as Deborah Turbeville, James Nachtwey, Sebastião Salgado, and Paul Nicklen & Cristina Mittermeier, and was part of Fotografiska’s expansion to Tallinn and New York. In 2022, she founded REZO, focusing on career strategy, talent development, and art advisory. Based between Lisbon, Warsaw, and Stockholm, she works internationally as a consultant, speaker, and jury member.
