"Broken Borders"
Artist: Ioana Moldovan
Curator: Arianna Rinaldo
April - May 2024
About the exhibition:
When we think of war, we can try to imagine the horror, the injustice, the destruction, the tragic consequences. However, safely on our couches, miles away, we can’t possibly hear the noise, feel the void, the desperation, the fear and the hopelessness. We cannot understand the soldiers’ determination to fight for their country, nor the courage of a mother who has to flee with her children to a safe place, the extreme act of leaving home and abandoning her life for an uncertain future.
